Winter Chamber Music Festival

A series of chamber ensembles presented as part of the Oregon East Symphony's 2016-2017 season. This event includes a beer and wine tasting with hors d’oeuvres to make for a casual concert experience that will keep you warm through the middle of winter.

Hannah will perform Aaron Copland's Sonata for Violin and Piano (1939) with pianist Sue Nelson.

Introducing the Zig Zag String Quartet

The Zig Zag String Quartet is made up of violinist Jenny Estrin and Hannah Leland, violist Rebekah Hanson, and cellist Sonja Myklebust. Ambitious teachers and performers, members of Zig Zag are on faculty at George Fox University in Newberg, OR and have contracts with the Portland Opera and Eugene Symphony. 

Zig Zag's first concert will feature Sergei Prokofiev's Second String Quartet and Alexander Borodin's String Quartet No. 2 including the famous Nocturne movement. 

Don't miss this rare opportunity to hear these pieces performed live in an intimate salon-style setting at the studio of bowmaker Darrell Hanks. 

Seating is limited to 30, so advance reservations are encouraged. Admission is $25 at the door or $20 (plus fees) online via Eventbrite

Wine, snacks, and good music will be provided in abundance!

Duo Odéon Tour

Duo Odéon presents a series of lecture-recitals in Portland, Oregon culminating in a recital featuring the works of George Antheil, Charles Ives, and Roy Harris. Duo Odéon's final concert (November 11) features the world premiere of the unpublished Valses from "Specter of the Rose," a set of three waltzes based on George Antheil's Score from the 1947 film Specter of the Rose arranged by Werner Gebauer, then concertmaster of the Dallas Symphony.
