Dr. Leland is currently accepting students of all levels in the Greater Portland area and all over the world via Skype
As a teacher, my primary goal is to cultivate a love and passion for music and the instrument in each of my students. Technique and fundamentals of violin playing act as the cornerstone of lessons and repertoire will be assigned to musically and/or technically advance the student’s playing. Practice habits will be developed alongside playing; productive and mindful practicing is emphasized above the number of hours.
Each student is individual and unique, from the shape of their hands down to their learning needs. Each student will be given equal respect and opportunity, and will be challenged and fostered according to their individual needs.
